Seufert advises on the purchase by RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG of the Kreisklinik (District Hospital) Bad Neustadt a. d. Saale from the Landkreis (District) Rhön-Grabfeld. While the Federal Cartel Office prohibited the intended purchase by the hospital operator ten years ago, the authority now approved the merger in view of changed market conditions.
RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG already operates specialist cardiovascular, hand surgery and neurological hospitals in Bad Neustadt with a total of 693 beds and a psychosomatic hospital. The present takeover of the District hospital adds a further 6 specialist departments and a total of 225 beds.
