Seufert Rechtsanwälte advised Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB, Leipzig Municipal Transport Services) on the acquisition of trams worth up to Euro 123 million. Apart from structuring and attending to the whole procurement procedure, which included drafting the delivery contract and other central documents, Seufert also represented LVB in a review of the contract award proceedings which were initiated by an unsuccessful competitor. The Procurement Chamber of the State of Lower Saxony confirmed the validity of the procurement procedure at the beginning of this year opening the way for contract conclusion with the Polish producer Solaris. The contract provides for the definite order of 5 new trams and acquisition options for a further 36.
